The Children's Museum part 2: Frogs!

I love frogs. Like...A LOT. When I was young most girls loved Hello Kitty. I didn't care about that cat. I was all about Kerokeropi! So cute! I was also the girl with her jeans cuffed up traipsing through the creeks catching crawdads barefoot. I'm know I drove my momma crazy...because my girl is is so much like me and...I'm almost crazy as a bat thanks to her! ;)

 Aiden frog

 Dane frog
Nadine frog

The Children's Museum's new exhibit is Frogs: A Chorus of Colors, and my goodness did the ever have some colorful frogs. Some looked like those rubber frog toys while others looked like tomatoes!

IDK where Aiden was. It was one of those "Okay, we are leaving without you" kind of moments.

The Children's Museum part 1: Vampire Vacation

We spent 5 hours at The Children's Museum today. Aiden enjoyed his very 1st Haunted House tour at Vampire Vacation! The kids had a lot of fun, and thankfully Aiden wasn't even a little bit scared. Maybe it's all the zombies and ghouls I keep around home. He must be numb to the whole experience. :)

*disclaimer*
Yes, we are well aware that I take a lot of pictures.
I am not oblivious to how completely annoying it can be.
I simply don't care. ;)
Hey-At least I took the pocket camera today. Baby steps.
Witches...Heathens. It's all the same, almost...isn't it?
Oh yes...we will be making bat wallies like this for our house. For sure!
I simply must have this vampire dude hanging from my cathedral ceiling.
I want this for the front yard...but with my actual mother in law in it. Ha ha. Just kidding!
Nice blood splatter action. We have this cape and rib cage. I'm gonna try to make this!
I need to find some bug rats like this!
I'd like to build a coffin like this for the house. Halloween party's are so fun!
I love their fence around this. This may be just what our graveyard has been missing.
I'll be looking for some fencing on clearance at the end of the season this year for sure!
Well...it was much scarier without the flash...
...but then you couldn't see the kids. Priorities.
I think your rubber chicken is done, dude.
Count Rushmore. Ha!
 My new profile pic
 ...and next weeks profile pic.
 My profile pic for Halloween.
I didn't really "get" the Hollywood stars but...yum.
Edward Scissorhands...that's old school!
Boo! This reminded me of the love statue at the state museum.
One last pic as we exited the haunted house!

Carving Pumpkins

We carve pumpkins every year. While it may seem like some of the kids have never had this experience before I assure you that they have and they will not likely ever warm up to the process but momma makes them do it anyway. I don't get my nails did to go and gut pumpkins, alright?

My Aiden is always the 1st one to get his hands dirty.
"Momma, can we eat the guts?"
Dane is seriously disturbed by the whole process.
Andrew think's it is just plane gross.
He started gagging and had to walk away. He looked like Keenan
There is simply no occasion that does not warrant a tutu for this girl.
Daddy had to help Aiden carve his pumpkin
...and Momma helped with Dane's a little bit too.
Andrew decided to drum on his pumpkin hoping to knock the seeds out so he could carve it.
Interestingly enough we discovered that the dogs like pumpkin. Who knew?
Of course this rodent will eat anything. He's like a freakin' Honey Badger
(*disclaimer* link is to a YouTube Video not suitable for children.)
Aiden's design for 2011 is a ghost!
Andrew's jack-o-lantern face is more traditional this year.
Sis made a dragon. Her boyfriend like dragons. So sweet.
Dave carved a spooky cat design this year.
